Dietary Tips for Cough During Pregnancy

Coughing is constant during pregnancy, especially in the late autumn of October. Many expectant mothers hold their stomachs and do not dare to cough too much for fear that the baby will die early. It would be even more embarrassing if the cough accidentally leads to urinary incontinence. Therefore, cough during pregnancy is a distressing symptom for pregnant women and obstetricians. If you cough too much or too hard, abdominal pressure can increase, leading to miscarriage or premature birth.

Why do pregnant women keep coughing? One of the possible causes is a cold, so its treatment is the same as for a common cold. But don’t be smart and take medicine indiscriminately (both Chinese and Western medicines are the same), because some Chinese and Western medicines for cough treatment can affect the fetus. For treatment, you must go to the hospital to see a doctor to avoid causing harm to the fetus.

However, some pregnant women\’s coughs are not caused by colds. Autumn is dry. According to traditional Chinese medicine, these expectant mothers are relatively weak in yin. As long as you are pregnant, you will keep coughing until the fetus is born, which is very harmful to the health of the fetus.
