Confinement baby care knowledge (shared by an experienced mother)

Confinement baby care knowledge

As a mother of a child, I deeply understand that the postpartum period has a vital impact on the care of the baby. Below I will elaborate on the knowledge of postpartum baby care from four aspects, hoping to help new mothers.

Diet care

Breast milk is the best food, and babies need to fully absorb breast milk to ensure healthy growth. In order to fully produce juice, mothers should pay attention to nutritional supplements during the confinement period, and can eat high-protein foods such as milk, lean meat, eggs, and seafood. At the same time, ensure water intake and replenish enough water, which is beneficial to juice production. The baby\’s food should be mainly breast milk. When adding other foods, attention should be paid to whether the food is allergic and whether the taste is suitable. When feeding, the baby\’s head should be higher than the body to prevent the baby from choking on milk.

Sleep care

Babies sleep for a long time and have high environmental requirements, so they must take good sleep care. Create a quiet, warm, well-ventilated environment for the baby, give enough space, avoid over-wrapping, and prevent problems such as excessive warmth, hypoxia, and overheating. The baby should lie flat when sleeping and avoid sleeping on the stomach or back. You can gently pat the baby\’s back to help the baby sleep peacefully.

Cleaning care

When washing and caring, you should pay attention to keeping the washing tools and water temperature appropriate. Washing and caring with warm water can avoid baby resistance and crying. Baby toiletries should be of high quality, non-irritating, and good for your baby. The cleaning time should not be too frequent, usually every 2 to 3 days, to avoid changing too many washing tools.

Safe care

During the confinement period, your baby\’s safety should receive special attention. Your baby should be in a safe place, away from sharp or dangerous objects. When drying baby clothes, you should pay attention to taking them back immediately after drying and hanging them in a place that is difficult for babies to reach. There should be no extra pillows or quilts on the baby\’s bed to avoid suffocation due to covering the baby\’s face.
Summary: During the confinement period, baby care is very important. It is necessary to do a good job in the baby\’s diet, sleep, bathing and safety care, and to provide the baby with sufficient care and love at this stage can help the baby grow up healthily.
