My two children had no basic knowledge of Pinyin before they entered elementary school. I did not teach them any knowledge before they entered elementary school, nor did I enroll them in any kindergarten bridging classes. Especially the older ones, who went to public kindergarten and never learned a single letter, so they had zero basic knowledge. The younger one goes to a private kindergarten and has learned a little bit, but she can only memorize it. She cannot read a single letter, which is equivalent to zero basic knowledge. My child has zero basic knowledge of Pinyin before learning, so I don’t think it matters much. Although it was very painful for me to teach my first child Pinyin, I still did not let her learn any knowledge in advance before the second child entered first grade. I think zero base is not necessarily a bad thing. Some children have learned too much before school and become proud and complacent. They feel that they know everything the teacher teaches, and develop the bad habit of not listening to the teacher from the beginning! My children don’t know anything, not even pinyin, nor addition and subtraction within ten, but they are very open-minded and will listen carefully to what the teacher says. When I take them to review, as long as the teacher has taught them, they usually know it, but they are not proficient. I only need to take them to practice more so that they can read more and more proficiently and calculate faster and faster. There are still some things they don\’t understand that I can help them with. In fact, it is not difficult to tutor first-grade children. If parents have a good attitude, they will feel that it is a very happy thing to study with their children. The key depends on what you think. Generally speaking, it will be more difficult in the early stage. Especially when teaching Pinyin, it takes more time. You have to teach it letter by letter and syllable by syllable over and over again. If you insist on teaching every day, if you survive the period of learning Pinyin, it will get better later. It\’s getting smoother. More than ten years ago, I taught first-grade Chinese for three consecutive years. I know the importance and difficulties of Pinyin well, so when I tutored my two children in Pinyin, although it was difficult, I would insist on teaching them Pinyin. , I think as long as they persist in learning, there will be no problem for children to master Pinyin. How do I teach my children Pinyin? I don’t use any clever methods. My children go to school and I have to go to work. After a tiring day, it would be nice if I could continue to teach my children when I get home. So no matter how good the method is, it’s not suitable for me after get off work. I don’t have the time and energy to do too much preparation work. I can only use some simple and primitive methods. 1. Instruct children to listen carefully in school, follow the teacher\’s rhythm closely, learn more knowledge and read more in school, and do not skip classes. Teachers teaching Pinyin in the classroom will be more interesting and more diverse than parents. They will teach children to recognize the character shapes and also teach them to read and write. Teachers will guide children to read in various ways, such as: reading in conjunction with situations, reading in rhymes, reading in conjunction with pictures, etc. If children can listen to lectures, they can master all the knowledge in class, and some children will master it quickly and well. 2. Don’t place too high demands on your children. I never expect my children to master 100% of the knowledge on the same day. There will be plenty of time later! I don’t expect to be the best at reading or a top-notch child, and I have never criticized my children severely for any time they did not do well in a test. I only ask that they can understand most of what the teacher says. After all, our parents were not particularly good at reading before. I just ask them to go home and spend time reviewingThe time can be less. After returning home, I will take my children to review in time. If the knowledge they learned that day is not reviewed in time, they will forget most of it the next day, so I must guide the children to review in time. I insist on doing this to cultivate children\’s good habit of review. 3. Keep reading pinyin. When my child was learning Pinyin, his teacher would suggest that we practice Pinyin every day and record how much time we spent each time. I read it with my children every day and recorded the time carefully. The teacher will assign repeated readings, especially on weekends, where a lot of reading is required. After learning Pinyin for a month or two, we have read each page of Pinyin materials 3-5 times. Many times during this period, I wanted to be lazy and my children didn’t want to read, but I saw that my children were reading better and better and spelling faster and faster. In order for my children to learn words, dictate words, and speak more smoothly in the future, I Just encourage yourself and your children to persevere. The children feel proud when they see that they spend less and less time reading each page of Pinyin materials, and they are very passionate every time they read. 4. Read and remember the pinyin of common things or new and interesting things in life. Pinyin is composed of letters one by one, which is too abstract for first-grade children. Many children are not interested and cannot remember it. When we read Pinyin, we can connect some things that children are familiar with or interested in, and give these letters specific meanings, so that children will be more interested and remember them better. When I teach my children Pinyin, I like to connect some things at home to help them remember. For example, the syllable nǚ is difficult to pronounce and remember, so I formulate words to tell the children that this is a woman, the daughter of a goddess, and then relate the sentence to life: \”Mom is my goddess, mom is a beautiful woman.\” Every time I say When you see things that your children are familiar with or interested in, they will smile happily. Not only will they remember the words, but it will also inspire them to pay attention to things in life and love the beautiful things around them. 5. Use some formulas and stories to master key and difficult points. For first-grade children, Pinyin is a string of abstract symbols. In order to stimulate children\’s interest in learning, teachers will use many stories, children\’s songs, formulas, finger exercises, etc. to help children master the shapes and sounds of letters or syllables during class. When children cannot remember the shape and sound of a certain letter or syllable, it will be faster and more efficient if parents can remind their children in time to remember the children\’s songs or formulas they have learned. If parents don’t know, they can ask their children if they have learned relevant formulas or stories. When doing exercises, we can more quickly discover problems in children\’s pinyin: incorrect writing format, wrong occupancy, wrong marking of syllables with compound finals, syllables with the final ǖ that are always written and misspelled, etc. At this time, we can guide the children to associate the stories and children\’s songs they have learned to correct their mistakes. Every time I find a problem in the child\’s pinyin, I will recite rhymes or nursery rhymes to the child to remind her. The most memorized songs are \”Four Lines and Three Gestures\”, \”Standard Tune Song\”, and \”Xiao ǖ Meets j q x\”, I won’t tell her the answer directly. There are many children’s songs and formulas that I remember better than she does! 6. Apply what you have learned and use Pinyin in your daily life. This is very important. Once the child has finished learning Pinyin, the teacher will slowly let go. The teacher will gradually guide the children to read the words and questions by themselves with the help of PinyinBy reading texts, reading stories, looking at pictures and writing sentences, etc., they will make full use of resources and opportunities to exercise their children\’s spelling ability. If in the past, when reading, the teacher read one sentence to the child, then in the future, the teacher will read it once, and the child will read it freely with the help of pinyin, or the teacher will not read it first, and the child will read it freely with the help of pinyin. Let the children practice repeatedly in a specific context. At that time, the children will have a specific context for learning Pinyin. If the children practice carefully, their Pinyin level will be greatly improved. Isn’t it true that we adults are so good at Pinyin because we often use Pinyin to type? Adults who are not good at Pinyin generally do not type in Pinyin. Therefore, the most important thing to learn Pinyin is to use it frequently. 7. Consolidate Pinyin with the help of some materials. After learning the text, the teacher will suggest that the children take dictation every day. Can recognize and write syllables, and can write and compose words. I don’t want to talk when I go home and talk too much at work. Be lazy as long as you can, your body is the most important thing. I will buy \”Look at Pinyin, Write Words, and Pinyin for New Words\” or \”Accumulation and Dictation\” for my child. I will review it with my child first, and then let her learn and write each lesson. She corrects her mistakes in a timely manner. If she has incorrect words that she has not mastered, I will give them to her several times a unit or a week to try to pass the test. 8. Have a good attitude, don’t always compare with others, follow your own child’s pace. I have two children. The older one is in junior high school and the younger one is in second grade. When the older one and the younger one were in first grade, I mainly helped them with their homework. When I was tutoring my daughter, I had a bad mentality and was often anxious. I often compared her with outstanding students. I often lost my temper with the child and had a very bad attitude. I often blamed myself and felt guilty about the child, which caused a lot of bad things to the child. Influence. When I do something bad, I usually learn from it. Now that the country has doubled down, school teachers do not assign written homework to the first and second graders. However, I know that parents who care about it will give their children various exercises and test papers even if the teachers do not assign homework. I still don’t want the younger children to be so tired, so I only do two exercises for them. For Chinese, I will make a book reading Pinyin and writing words, and for Mathematics, I will do oral arithmetic. I prepare Chinese pinyin and word writing for my children every semester. I have to talk a lot during the day at work and I don’t want to take dictation. The first and second grade words are the most important and must be passed. If I buy a copy, I don’t need to take dictation. It has all the characters that need to be mastered in the above two categories. After finishing a unit, I only need to review the two types of words in this unit that she has not mastered at ordinary times, and then focus on dictation and dictation. Saved me a lot of time and money. You also need to practice oral arithmetic in mathematics. I have taught mathematics for several years. Mathematical calculations are very important. Oral arithmetic can practice speed and accuracy. The above methods are for reference only. My method cannot be suitable for everyone. I hope parents can find a method that suits their children\’s rhythm in practice and help their children learn Pinyin well.
