In the third grade, I started learning New Concept English. Regarding the new concepts, I want to say…

The child has embarked on the road of learning new concept English since the second semester of third grade. Now, after more than half a year of study, half of the first volume has been completed. Regarding new concepts, I want to say… A new concept is not suitable for a zero-based new concept. The first lesson of the new concept involves the deformation of the verb be, as well as the sentence pattern of is this…, as well as personal pronouns, etc. It is difficult to get started with a zero-based foundation. . The textbooks used in our school are from the foreign research version. Starting from the simplest hello and goodbye, not to mention the first grade, even kindergarten can learn it easily. So we start learning after the third-grade children have a certain foundation in English. The first few lessons of new concepts are also a review of children’s previous school knowledge, so that it is not that difficult for children to get started. 2. New concepts cannot improve school scores. Children have poor English and it is unrealistic to expect learning new concepts to improve scores. Because the new concept is about improving excellence, not making up for differences. It is a supplement and expansion of English in school. If your child cannot keep up with the pace of English in school, it is better to go back to memorizing words, reading texts, and laying down the basics! The three new concepts do not need to expand too many new concepts. They have a complete grammatical system in themselves. As long as you memorize the words and sentence patterns, read the text into chants, understand the grammatical points, and do some exercises, it is enough. The method is also easier for children to accept. I have found a lot of explanation videos on the Internet for my children to watch. From word pronunciation to grammar, they are very detailed and add a lot of words. In this way, one text needs to be listened to for thirty to forty minutes, and the children are a bit confused after watching it for two days. I am impatient and a bit repelled. In addition, I still have to memorize words, read texts, and do exercises. It takes about a week to complete one lesson, and the progress is a bit slow. Later, I changed to the earliest and most classic explanation. I could finish two lessons in about 10 minutes, and the children were not so tired from studying. 4. If you don’t have the determination to persevere, don’t start easily. The first volume of New Concept has a total of 144 lessons. Even if you study 2 to 4 lessons per week, it will take at least a year. Moreover, the knowledge points become more difficult as you go forward, you have to memorize more words, and the texts become longer. It is really difficult to persevere without some perseverance. Many people find new concepts unhelpful, largely because they haven’t learned them yet. Learning is a long-term process, especially for textbooks with a relatively large system like New Concept English. Only by persisting to the end can it truly play its role.
