If children are afraid of writing essays, it’s because they haven’t mastered these four methods.

Before taking care of my children full time, I was a Chinese teacher. Whether I am teaching in schools or training institutions, I have met many parents who ask me for advice. Among them, how to write good compositions accounts for a large proportion. So, how can we improve primary school students’ composition writing skills? And look down. When writing essays, you must tell the truth and avoid falsehoods. Many teachers require students to be positive and have good intentions in their essays. But as a child, your understanding is limited and your life experience is limited. These two points alone make them shy away from writing. When many children first learn to write, they are sincere in recording and have the courage to express, which is very good. However, when the corrected essays were sent out, they found that they were not praised and encouraged by the teachers. Instead, the essays that they considered fake and empty became the model essays that were emphasized over and over again in class. This devastated many children. Education expert Yin Jianli mentioned in her book \”A Good Mother is Better than a Good Teacher\” that the two most terrifying things in the world are that \”a quack doctor can take your life, and a common man can judge your article.\” Indeed. Because the former kills people, and the latter kills children\’s passion and creativity. The most important thing when teaching children to write essays is to teach them to express themselves bravely and tell the truth, and not to write just for the sake of writing. Only if there is no fiction or pretense can a composition have true feelings and flow smoothly without getting stuck. Just like we are born as human beings, it is best not to lie. After all, as Mr. Qian Liqun said: \”Cultivating a person how to write is, in another sense, cultivating a person how to behave.\” So, what do I mean by lies and truths? For example, the school assigned an interesting homework assignment to the children – to go home and wash the feet of their parents after a hard day\’s work. Students were also asked to write an article after completing this homework. Student A wrote: Through washing the feet of my parents, I realized that honoring parents is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. As primary school students, we must keep in mind the core values of socialism and be polite, moral, and civilized primary school students… Classmate B wrote: Mom\’s feet are white and small, like delicious wild rice. But my father\’s feet are so big and rough, like fallen leaves from a sycamore tree or a big bear\’s paw. The feet of mom and dad were placed side by side in the basin, as if adults and children were playing in the water… You see, what classmate A wrote is a lie. As a primary school student, it is impossible for him to think of traditional virtues and socialist values every day. This must have been subconsciously formed through countless requests from teachers and parents. I bet this kid was in a lot of pain while writing. But classmate B is different. He said what he wanted to say through his own observations. In his eyes, his mother\’s feet are beautiful, but his father\’s feet are indeed big and ugly. And he probably never realized that his father\’s feet were so much bigger than his mother\’s. I believe that student B must be very happy when writing articles, and he can write quickly and vividly. Reading accumulation is absolutely indispensable. We all know that if we want to have a steady stream of output, we must have a steady stream of input. Writing is actuallyThat\’s right. I often emphasize to students and parents that we should read more books, accumulate more, turn the knowledge in the book into our own knowledge, and turn the language in the book into our own language. Then when writing, what can you do if you are confident? There is no need to be afraid. I once worked as a composition training camp teacher at Wu Meizhen Children’s Literature Studio for a period of time. At that time, the basic requirement of each of our teachers for the children was to read a book every week. Any book is fine, but of course, pornography, gambling, and drugs are not allowed. We have a bookcase that will be updated from time to time to ensure that every student can see different works. Before each class, students borrow and return books, and then set aside a fixed time for reading exchange meetings. Students in each period make rapid progress in their writing. Many of their works have been published in different children\’s literature publications and received royalties. After graduating from the training camp, most of those children became little bookworms and little writers. So, read more! This is definitely the only way to write a good composition. Of course, reading habits also need to be cultivated. If your child particularly likes reading, but it is not the kind of excellent composition that teachers and parents require, my suggestion is, don’t stop him and try your best to satisfy him. Whether it’s Gu Long or Jin Yong, whether it’s time travel or history, whether it’s romance or comics, as long as he likes it, let him read it. Blindly stopping it will only weaken his interest in reading. It would be better if parents are familiar with the content of the book. First, tell the child a paragraph to arouse his interest, and then let him read it himself. Then the parents pretend that they have no time to read, and let the child relay the content of the book to themselves. In this way, the little one will definitely be particularly interested in reading. Don\’t say that these books have nothing to do with learning. Just imagine, since children can be attracted by books, the author\’s writing method, writing skills, author\’s grasp of details, and interpretation of words must be excellent. As a primary school student, even if I learn a little bit about it, I believe that his parents will not have to worry about it. Every child has different reading hobbies, but as far as my students are concerned, they all like books by Yang Hongying, Zheng Yuanjie, and Wu Meizhen. Some foreign works, such as \”The Adventures of Tom Sawyer\”, \”Charlotte\’s Web\”, \”Uncle Tom\’s Cabin\”, etc. are also very good. There are routines for writing, and mastering them is the shortcut. Many parents said that my children read books one after another, but they still can\’t write essays. I want to say, don\’t worry, it\’s because he hasn\’t found a way yet. Just like many jobs require certain skills to do well, there are actually routines for writing essays. Take the feedback after reading and observation that students are most afraid of. If you master the four words \”introduction and connection\”, then it will be effortless to write a post-reading and observation. Introduction: to introduce what is read; to discuss: to grasp a point of feeling; to make an analysis; to connect it with the actual situation; to make an analysis; to conclude: to refer to the beginning and to conclude. Just one sentence, very brief. The \”argument\” part is relatively the focus, and a point of view needs to be extracted from the text for discussion. Remember, there can only be one point of view being discussed. \”Lian\” is very simpleAs can be seen from the literal meaning, it is actually an analysis of the viewpoints in the second part combined with reality, but this part is also the focus, and more words should be spent. Just imagine, if you master the routine and enrich it part by part when writing, wouldn\’t it be much easier to write a composition? In fact, no matter what kind of article, there are certain writing methods and techniques. If your child has read a lot of books and has a full stomach, then quickly take him with you to summarize. If you are afraid that you are not good enough, sign up your child for a composition tutoring class, but the premise is that you have to check the tutor\’s level. Don\’t waste time in tutoring classes endlessly. Once you master the \”routine\”, leave immediately and go home and practice on your own. You can actually practice writing by talking more. Once you have mastered the above methods, you only need to master three more words. I only say the important thing once, that is – practice more! There is a sentence in the work \”The Oil Seller\” by Ouyang Xiu, a writer of the Northern Song Dynasty: I don\’t have him, but I am familiar with it. So, actually you already know the importance of practice. This exercise is not just about writing, but also about speaking. When your child has finished reading a book, you can discuss the content of the book with him and express your views on the content of the book with your child. If during this process, the child can express what he wants to say clearly and fluently in language, and prove the point he wants to demonstrate, then congratulations, writing will no longer be difficult for your child. You just need to tell him: write down what you just said, and it will be a good article. Doing this will not only exercise your child\’s oral expression skills, but also increase your child\’s writing confidence. Why not do it! Of course, the premise is that as a parent, you are willing to put down your mobile phone, turn off the TV, read books and make progress with your children.
