South Korea launches comprehensive fertility incentives: tax reductions for marriage, extended paid leave for childcare

The South Korean government has launched 15 core policies to deal with the problem of low birth rate, including extended childcare leave, tax exemptions, housing security, and childbirth and parenting support. The policy aims to increase the fertility rate to 1.0 by 2030. The government has also introduced a \”special tax exemption system for marriages\” and provided priority home purchase opportunities to families applying for housing, as well as preferential policies for children\’s education.
