Everyone knows that anemia in pregnant women is detrimental to fetal development and health, but most people don\’t know that high hemoglobin is as harmful to the mother and fetus as anemia. In recent years, researchers from the School of Medicine at the University of Wales in the UK have investigated 54,382 singleton pregnancies and found that pregnant women with high prenatal hemoglobin (13.2 g%) or low hemoglobin (10.4 g%) had higher pregnancies.
