The Dazhu County People\’s Court recently pronounced that Juanjuan\’s adoptive mother and defendant Yang was guilty of intentional injury and was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison. Later, the Dazhu County People\’s Court recently ruled again that the adoption relationship between Yang and Juanjuan was illegal and terminated the adoption relationship between the two. In May of this year, Yang beat her adopted daughter Juanjuan severely with bamboo sticks, sickles, etc. at home on the grounds that her adopted daughter Juanjuan often stole things and did not come home, causing multiple injuries all over her body. After identification, Juanjuan\’s physical injuries were assessed as minor injuries, causing physical and psychological harm to Juanjuan. Yang Ying, community director of the Huangjiajia Sub-district Office, introduced that the adoptive mother Yang was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison at the Dazhu County People’s Court. Recently, Yang Ying also participated in the Dazhu County People\’s Court\’s judgment on the custody relationship between Juanjuan and her adoptive mother Yang. The adoption relationship between Yang and Juanjuan was illegal, and the adoption relationship between the two was terminated. At the same time, because Juanjuan has not yet found her biological parents, Juanjuan also expressed her unwillingness to continue living with her adoptive father and adoptive mother. The civil affairs department of Dazhu County has sent Juanjuan to live in the Dazhu County Children\’s Welfare Home and return to school. Zhou Yong, director of the Dazhu County Children\’s Welfare Home, said that during the few months Juanjuan lived in the children\’s welfare home, she was able to take care of herself, living with her children for food and accommodation, and often took her younger children to wash clothes and dishes. It is also understood that at present, a family has expressed their willingness to adopt Juanjuan.
