Finally, 6 years of running with me in elementary school are over! In the past two days, my son has asked from time to time: \”Mom, why don\’t I feel like I am leaving after graduation?\” I told him: As long as you feel happy and joyful when you recall your six years of primary school life, it is worth it, and the rest is not important. Graduation is not an end, but a node. I thought about it carefully. In addition to being happy and joyful during my six years of primary school study, there were actually many disputes, regrets and some unnecessary waste. In the past time, there is no turning back, and there is no regret medicine. I will make a small summary and hope to give some useful suggestions to parents in need. 01 In Chinese, we must strengthen the basic skills of vocabulary. The basic skills of vocabulary are like the bricks that build the villa of Chinese. If the gaps between each brick are not bonded, or the structure of the house is unreasonable, it will affect the entire building in the end. The experience of using the villa. The foundation of Chinese language lies in words. Recognizing words, reading the correct pronunciation, understanding the meaning of the words, and writing the correct glyphs are four requirements for every child starting from the first grade of elementary school. Reading and memorizing them silently may not seem to mean much, but if you don’t remember them well, you will be able to write them well. No, it will affect the score of each paper. When my son was young, he struggled with vocabulary for a while. After he entered middle school and senior high school, he was able to write homework independently. The type and quantity of homework increased, but some oversights occurred unintentionally. The loopholes in the words gradually accumulate over time, and are finally reflected on the paper, which is the deduction of points for typos. Each word is 0.5 points. It is easy to find 3-5 typos in a paper. If you meet a strict teacher, you can deduct 5 points just for correcting typos. All your efforts in reading comprehension and composition should not be defeated by typos easily. Before the graduation exam, I sorted out my son\’s notebook with typos for a semester, and finally found that every time he memorized a bunch of words, the ones that made mistakes were always the same. We must pay close attention to typos. We must not only keep the children\’s copy books, dictation books, and homework books every day, but also pick out typos and \”return to the dictation test\” from time to time. 02 English, you must read and memorize the words well. English is difficult, and the difficulty lies in the words; English is simple, and the simplicity lies in the words. My son’s English started from the third grade of the People’s Education Press. Before that, we had enrolled in English enlightenment courses and one-to-one oral courses with foreign teachers at various stages. Looking back at English, whether it is an introductory class or a foreign teacher\’s spoken language class, it is not directly proportional to English learning performance. The former is, at best, just a way to cultivate children\’s interests and pass the time. In the primary school curriculum, English is the smallest course among the three main subjects, but in terms of scores, English is the most popular subject for children. Parents, please do not put too much faith in the previous English scores of the General English Review. The content content is too little and the question types are too simple. It really cannot test the true English level of the children. Because of this, we stepped into a big pit and suffered a big loss. My son\’s English scores have always been pretty good. Because of this, although he always takes English classes as if he is having fun, for the sake of his grades, I don\’t interfere too much. But when we really entered the review stage, all kinds of questions came up frequently in the non-stop examination papers. All questions basically point to one point \”word\”. Because I am not familiar with the words or do not know them, I did not understand the questions or read them thoroughly.Choosing the wrong answer; because the word is not mastered well, there will always be small mistakes in the spelling of words for various reasons; because the word is not mastered well, the pronunciation cannot be clearly distinguished, resulting in ambiguous pronunciation and wrong choices… It is easy to get high scores in English. It is also very easy to lose points in English. It is normal to be more than ten points behind others in one subject. At this time, you will find that no matter how hard you try in Chinese and Mathematics, you still can’t score in English. To learn words, you need to be familiar with them, but you don\’t need to follow the curriculum. Children who have the energy to spare can definitely learn middle school vocabulary in advance, which can reduce the academic pressure in middle school and help them prepare for the primary school English exam. Therefore, in the primary school stage, we must grasp the words, read them, memorize them, silently, and repeat them again and again. The vocabulary is enough, and with the few grammar test points, you can get good points. 03 Mathematics, calculations must be passed. Don’t look down on addition and subtraction within 20, and don’t look down on the simplest multiplication formula. If a child cannot get full marks in mathematics, if the child makes an understatement to excuse himself: I accidentally made a mistake. Don’t neglect it, start with the most basic calculations. Computing ability has always accompanied children\’s learning career. After entering middle school, many mathematical knowledge learned in elementary school will no longer be used, but calculations must continue to be used. If, at that time, the child finally solves a difficult problem after struggling for a long time, only to have points deducted due to calculation, and fall on the cruel admission line of \”one point, one playground\”, that would be extremely regrettable. In addition, develop children\’s logical thinking ability. After all, mathematics is an applied course, and many questions are based on real-life situations that require children to activate their thinking and brains. Logical thinking ability is cultivated from an early age, guided from daily life, and combined with appropriate coaching exercises to inspire children\’s thinking to draw inferences from one case to another, and to make a comprehensive understanding. 04 Learning attitudes and habits must be grasped. It is important to grasp grades, but in primary school, it is more important to grasp learning habits and learning attitudes. In the lower grades, children have a lot of time. It is important to cultivate their interest in reading and develop reading habits. This is better than asking children to brush a paper every day. You will find that by the end of the Chinese language course, you have no way to start reviewing it. There is too much knowledge and it is too broad. Just relying on what is learned in the classroom and training classes is simply not enough. It requires children to be like a sponge, actively absorbing it all the time. Until your body is full and you need to put it to use, just squeeze it and the knowledge will flow out like water. Children must be allowed to establish the concept of \”catching up with time\”. In the final analysis, the most important thing in learning is \”time usage\”. If the child can complete the homework quickly and efficiently, and give the child the time he deserves, and taste the sweetness, the child will be willing to continue chasing. Make sure your child finds a confidence-building course, even if it\’s a side course. Only by supporting your child and helping him find the joy of learning can he unleash his potential and build confidence. Positive feedback on efforts will encourage children to find a better version of themselves. 05 Preview, you must not go through the motions. The significance of preview is greater than your grades. In primary school, many children cannot develop the habit of previewing. They flip through books casually and just go through the motions of previewing. But in fact, preview is a part of learning knowledge. This is an important link and is the best opportunity for children to cultivate their self-learning ability. Children can sort out new knowledge and learn with questions, which can help them solve doubts. The good habit of previewing will benefit more as your child gets older. During the winter and summer vacations, you must do a good job in pre-study, recognize the characters you need to recognize, memorize the words you need to memorize, understand the mathematical knowledge points you need to understand, and use class as a consolidated review. Your child will have caught up with the learning progress. 06 Exercise and sleep must not be skipped. Exercise and sleep are closely related. Children should maintain sufficient exercise every day and fall asleep to ensure good sleep and good health. In the general environment of internal examination, although the day of \”exam\” will come no matter how late it is, at the primary school stage, when there is no need to press a lot of learning tasks at this stage, try to give sleep to the children as much as possible. They should sleep and do activities. Only when children have good physical fitness can they have the physical strength to support their studies when they need to work hard after entering middle school and high school. As an old Chinese saying goes, the body is the capital of revolution and the truth.
