How to accompany children in first grade to be effective companionship

In the public kindergarten, I have a name called \”Zitao\’s mother\”. My son never learned Pinyin before he entered first grade, not even a, o, or e. He went to a public kindergarten, which focused on study habits and reading habits, not pinyin learning. School just started in September, and the children in his class can keep up, but my son can\’t keep up. He learns slowly, and he can\’t read pinyin very well. He hooks his hands when writing, and gets tired after writing for a while. I gave up after 2 minutes. His grades were second to last in the class, and he was the child the teacher called out for attention. I am also a first-grade math teacher myself, and I deeply understand the importance of pinyin and patience for a primary school student who has just entered the first grade. What should I do if my child can’t spell Pinyin? He has a hard time learning Pinyin. He pronounces \”ba\” as a, and only pronounces the last pinyin of double-pinyin syllables. If you can\’t tell b and d apart, pronounce da ba as ba ba. I didn\’t blame him but faced it with the child and learned together. In this way, I accompanied my child through the first month of the Pinyin test. I read Pinyin with him every day. I read it once, and he read it again, pointing to the Pinyin and reading as he did so. When he read Pinyin, he would also form words along with it. When he read it correctly, I would praise him: \”Wow, Zitao, you are so awesome!\” Even if my son makes a little progress in two days, I will say to him: \”Zitao, you have made great progress. You didn\’t remember it after reading it five times, but now you can read it twice.\” I review the previous pinyin every day. He struggled to learn the three-pin syllables and couldn\’t find the spelling pattern. I would first read the double-pin syllables with him. He would read the double-pin syllables that he already knew how to read, and then seize the opportunity to praise them. For example, \”Zitao, you are great. You are becoming more and more proficient in reading, and you can pronounce pinyin accurately.\” He was so happy that he praised him. When he reads the three pinyin syllables several times, he will also pay attention to it. read. Do you really have no time? Conscious active learning is much more efficient than passive learning. Many parents will say that I don’t have time and I have to take care of the second child. These are all excuses. When my son was in the first grade, our second child was just over one year old. I held the baby in my left hand and fed the baby, and pointed to Pinyin with my right hand. Read it with your children. I persisted like this for half a month, and the child\’s progress during this half month was very obvious. Most of the syllables were learned in school. The double-pin syllables and triple-pin syllables that were not memorized were read with the children at home. When he feels tired or annoyed and doesn\’t want to read or open his mouth to speak, I say, \”If you don\’t want to read, just sit down. Is Mommy good at reading? You can be the little teacher and see if Mommy reads correctly.\” \”When I read Pinyin, I will deliberately pronounce one wrong and let him find the mistake. This will give him a sense of accomplishment. Sometimes we read pinyin in the form of playing a game. We compete, and whoever pronounces the most correct pinyin can eat a small piece of chocolate, or the loser can be treated as a big horse and the winner can ride two laps. What should I do if I have no patience? When it is difficult to read Pinyin or my son is not serious, I will also get angry and shout at him, and he will be scared and tears will flow down. At this time, I would calm down my mood first, squat down, hold my son in my arms and say, Mom was wrong, Mom should notCalling you, I know you have worked very hard. Wipe away your tears. Can we read it carefully twice? Read it twice. Mom will teach you to read it and we will read it together. I would respect his opinion in this case. When I admit my mistakes to him, I say, \”I will get rid of the bad habit of being impatient, and you will get rid of the habit of being lazy. How about we make progress together?\” My son usually agrees, and his mood gets better. . After 2 months, Zitao will be able to read most of the pinyin. He will still mispronounce the more difficult ones, so it doesn\’t matter if he continues to work hard. He can distinguish between ei and ie, iu and ui through reading. The pinyin \”jiu\” (jiu) appears more frequently during reading. The more times he reads it, the more he can distinguish it. Gradually, he likes to read Pinyin, he can feel the fun, and he finds the rules. When he gets tired of reading, I will encourage him. If he doesn’t want to read, I will think of many ways, such as preparing Pinyin cards with pinyin and pictures on them. If he can\’t remember the pinyin, he can look at the picture and guess. The two of us play a game. Each person draws a pinyin card for the other person to read. Points will be deducted for wrong readings, and points will be added for correct readings. The winner can ask the loser to beat his back. I rarely win, most of the time. It was deliberately lost to the child. If I mispronounced it, I would ask him, what is the pinyin for this? When children don\’t like doing homework, companionship is especially important. In the first two weeks of school, he didn\’t like doing homework very much. He would also say why his brother didn\’t do homework, and his mother didn\’t do homework, so he only did it himself. I didn\’t blame him, I wrote with him. Each of us has our own pinyin book. If I write fast and he writes slowly, he will think it is unfair. I write 3 lines and he writes one line. This is fair. I persisted like this for a week, and his writing speed became faster. I learned two lines and he wrote one line. Later, I wrote one line and he wrote one line. CCTV recommended over 500 high-scoring documentaries. My child watched it and became addicted to self-discipline. I continued to accompany him on his homework for a month, and the child never said it was unfair again. He would also point out which letter I wrote was not standard, and how the teacher explained it. The description was very detailed. I must have listened to the class. Later, I no longer had to do homework with him, but I needed to accompany him, otherwise I would procrastinate. Half a year has passed, and he no longer has to accompany him when he does homework, and he no longer procrastinates. How to accompany reading Let’s talk about reading. When my son was in middle school, I started reading picture books with my children, simple picture books. After entering the first grade, I read some simple ones like \”Carrot Seed\” and \”Crik Tower\”. Picture books with few words and books with full Pinyin. He couldn\’t read it at first. During the winter vacation, other children read \”Grimm\’s Fairy Tales\”. My son found it too difficult. There were many words and the pinyin was difficult. He didn\’t know most of the words, so it was difficult to read. I bought him \”Morning Reading and Evening Recitation\” and \”Reading with Adults\” which are simpler and have fewer words. At first, he was asked to read for 5 minutes, then slowly he read for 10 minutes, and now he basically reads for about 30 minutes. When he doesn\’t want to read, I let him choose one paragraph from two natural paragraphs. He reads one paragraph and I read one paragraph. He usually chooses the natural paragraph with the least amount and feels very happy., I felt like I was taking advantage. Choose one of the latter 2 pages. When I really don’t want to read, I listen to it. This is how I slowly develop the habit of reading. I don’t know how far my son can go on the road of learning, and I’m not sure if he is an excellent person. What I can be sure of is that he has been making progress and going uphill on the road of learning. Come on Zitao! Come on Zitao’s mother!
