How to educate children and show filial piety to parents

Amitabha, hello everyone. You must know that to study Buddhism and practice, you must first take care of your family, and second, make your career successful. Don’t misunderstand, learning Buddhism and practicing Buddhism is not giving up, but letting go of your heart. Male lay practitioners who practice at home must be responsible and assume the responsibilities of husbands at home. Men are the heads of the family. You must know the responsibility of the owner and be an umbrella that can protect your family from wind and rain. Let family members be able to settle down and study Buddhism diligently, so that children can succeed in their studies. Let the elderly spend their remaining years in peace, let go of all the worries in their hearts, and leave with peace of mind. In fact, being able to contribute so freely to your family, career creation, social development, and everyone\’s convenience is practice. As a female lay practitioner, you should also be a compassionate Bodhisattva at home. Try to cooperate and compensate for your husband\’s shortcomings instead of being picky. We need to understand each other, tolerate each other, bear each other\’s responsibilities, and relieve each other\’s troubles instead of creating troubles for each other. Never take personal knowledge as the axis, and be sure to get rid of \”individuality\”. \”Personality\” is a symbol of ignorance, and the expression of ignorance is absolutely undesirable. If parents act with such wisdom, it will directly affect their children. As the saying goes, children are the shadow of their parents. It is very important to educate children in a way that makes them happy throughout their lives. How to cultivate children so that they can benefit from them throughout their lives? We must teach children to be kind and compassionate from an early age, so that they can develop a heart of compassion and joy. When such a heart arises, virtue is constantly being displayed. This is to cultivate merit for oneself from the shallower to the deeper. Only in this way can it be used for life. Just like a motor vehicle engine, parents are equivalent to the starting mechanism, driving the engine to start through the force of the starter. This kind of power will last forever, and only this kind of power can be used. Never let your child rely on this starter for a long time, as this will harm your child. Don\’t let your children develop bad habits from an early age, such as killing, stealing, sexual intercourse, drunkenness, greed, anger, stupidity, suspicion, double tongue, harsh words, and sweet talk. If such a habit develops, it may harm the child. If you want your children to have a good influence, parents must be kind and virtuous. So the success or failure of a child depends entirely on the parents. This is true love for children. As for filial piety towards parents and the elderly, everyone should also pay attention to this. No matter what you do, you must use wisdom. Filial piety for the elderly does not mean being too luxurious, but rather allowing them to have peace of mind. Let them get rid of all kinds of worries, all kinds of delusions, and separation and attachment in their hearts. Only in this way can we be truly filial to them. Everyone must understand that as the owner of a family, you have a heavy responsibility, and you must do your best to influence them. The perfection of the family also symbolizes the perfection of the career, and it is also the perfection of practice. I hope all relatives will not deviate from the track during practice. Practice is not about giving up, but about working hard. In fact, we all have the responsibility to help parents, children, and people around us. This is spreading positive energy. Instead of just talking about it and spreading it everywhere. Therefore, if you want to generate positive energy, there are many ways. Don’t stick to the form, just let it change and stay true to the theme.. Amitabha Buddha, Sasanji.
