In first grade, don’t send your children to training classes. Just do these 3 things well.

In the \”Reading Manual\”, it is repeatedly emphasized that the key to improving reading effect lies in the 7800 hours after class. Fundamentally speaking, the educational gap does widen within the family. In the first and second grade, the learning tasks in class are not heavy. The focus of this stage is not how much knowledge you have mastered, but: cultivating learning interest and good habits. The focus of family education, in addition to keeping pace with school, should also start from these aspects: 1. Love sports. The concept of \”exercise for one hour a day and live a healthy life\” should be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Cultivating the habit of loving sports in children should start from childhood. After entering first grade, school ends at 5:20 every day and I get home close to 6:00. We arrange exercise in the morning. From Monday to Friday, Beaver starts his morning jog at 6:50 every morning and jogs for 2 kilometers before having breakfast and going to school. After implementing this routine for more than a week, I have discovered these benefits: I am more proactive when going to bed early and getting up early. At 8:30 pm, the beaver will take the initiative to wash up, listen to stories, and then go to sleep. Time management has become more scientific. In the past, Beaver still had some procrastination problems. For example, after getting up early, he would be in a daze for a long time before brushing his teeth or washing his face. Now, he always washes up after getting up and goes downstairs to exercise by himself. After returning home, he eats breakfast and goes to school. Everything is done in an orderly manner. I am more peaceful in dealing with others. During his morning jog, Beaver met many friends, some of whom he even made friends with over the years. Everyone saw him running every day and gave him a lot of encouragement, and he also gained friendship, confidence, and optimism from it. 2. Keep reading aloud. This is what I have always emphasized, especially in the lower grades. There is a reading aloud requirement in Chinese language courses, but on-campus courses only have two classes a day, totaling 80 minutes, and the time allocated to reading aloud is just a drop in the bucket, far from meeting the requirements of reading aloud and cultivating language sense. We put the main position of reading aloud in the half hour after dinner: a children\’s poem, read it aloud more than 5 times, and the children can already recite it by heart. For an ancient poem, the emphasis is on reading. As for understanding, if the child has any questions, talk about it. If there are no questions, the child has not yet reached the level of understanding. It takes 5-10 minutes. A short ancient text of about 50 words is enough to be read smoothly and fluently. The main purpose is to maintain familiarity with the ancient text. It takes 5-10 minutes. In addition, read \”The Analects of Confucius\” for about 10 minutes every day. This step is to read a few sentences every day. Once you are familiar with it, continue reading. As many as you can read. Don’t underestimate these 30 minutes a day. Over time, children will virtually develop a sense of language, the habit of reading aloud, and accumulate language. Beaver now reads simple classical Chinese as naturally as vernacular Chinese. 3. Keep reading. If your child is tired of your nagging, then devote the time you use to nagging to reading; if you don’t know how to communicate with your child, then read more books to your child. Beaver currently mainly reads picture books and comics on his own; he is particularly interested in the \”Plants vs. Zombies\” series and the \”Magic School Bus\” series. When he read the pictures, he was very meticulous. Once his interest arose, he told me the story expressed in the pictures, which was much better than I could understand. The focus of reading in my family is still parent-child reading: I read and Beaver listens. The content is very wide: stories, novels, picture books, popular science, etc. In extensive reading, HaiThe raccoon dog has invisibly expanded the amount of knowledge and cultivated interest in reading. Half an hour before bedtime (8:30-9:00) is our favorite parent-child reading time. Beaver will arrange his study and washing in advance for this half hour. In the charming story, he will fall into sweet dreams.
