Personal test is amazing! She uses only a piece of paper to help her children develop good study habits

After reading Teacher Liu Chenglian\’s \”Accompanying Children through Three Years of Junior High School\”, I was deeply attracted by a training method mentioned in the book that can improve children\’s learning ability. I believe that if children can develop this series of habits, they will benefit a lot! I called the two children over, and after obtaining their consent, we discussed and determined the details of the plan, and also established first, second, and third prizes, and then signed it to take effect. The following is the contract we have drafted, which will be implemented from September 1, 2016. Some of the habits mentioned above, such as getting up in the morning and washing up within 15 minutes, are actually habits that they have maintained for a long time. However, because many things are easy for children to repeat, I included them in the list. Come in, hoping that with the help of this convention and plan, this habit of children will be further consolidated. After all, children who realize the need to seize the moment as soon as they get up in the morning will be very organized throughout the day. Below, I will introduce it in detail. First, we set the full score for each item to ten, then score based on completion, and finally average the score. Statistics are conducted at the end of each month and the first, second and third prizes are awarded. In order for children to take this matter seriously, we must first attach great importance to it ourselves, so the rules we set must be strictly implemented. 1. Getting up, washing, and tidying up the room within fifteen minutes in the morning, including tidying up the desk and sweeping the floor, is worth ten points, and we will rate it according to time. If there is no timeout, the score will be based on efficiency. In order to encourage children, I usually give 9 or 10 points as long as there is no timeout. If it is overtime, it will only be zero points. 2. Read English after washing up in the morning. We should all know that there is no shortcut to learning English, the only way is to read more, listen more and speak more. Morning is the golden time for memory. Therefore, if you can develop the habit of reading English every morning, especially reviewing yesterday\’s ones and previewing new ones, it will be of great benefit to your children\’s English learning. 3. After school in the afternoon, review briefly what you learned that day in each subject. If you don’t understand something, ask your parents immediately. You can also write it down to discuss with your classmates or ask the teacher for advice tomorrow. 4. Complete homework. Homework will be graded according to speed and quality. This item needs to be flexibly controlled. If there is no homework that day or it is a weekend holiday, this item can be canceled that day. 5. After completing the homework, the children will check it first, and then the parents will sign. Develop the habit of checking homework every day. After checking it themselves, the parents will check and sign again. This rating is mainly based on the quality of the inspection. You have developed the habit of checking your daily homework. Are you still worried about being sloppy in the exam? 6. We all know that copying the wrong questions of the day into the wrong question book, it is indeed a good habit to develop the habit of correcting wrong questions and writing the wrong question book. However, children generally do not persist easily. Since challenging this method, both children have insisted on writing the wrong question papers. Especially my daughter, who always needed supervision before, but since signing this agreement, she has been very proactive every time, and now it has become a habit. 7. Preview what you will learn in each subject on the second day. Take a general look at what you will learn the next day. Circle the things you don’t understand first and follow what the teacher will teach you the next day.Focus on listening every time. After completing the preview, the remaining time can be arranged freely. 8. Reading after meals is suitable for children who have a hobby of reading. If the child has not yet developed a reading habit, this is also the best time to cultivate parent-child reading. Since both children in our family like to read books, they are very happy to have this item and put the books down reluctantly every time. This is also the only one they get perfect scores for almost every time. 9. Listening to English before going to bed is a habit that my son has always maintained. We only started learning English in the third grade here. I remember that at the beginning, my son’s English scores were not very satisfactory. So I guided him to read in the morning and listen in the evening every day, and gradually there was a very obvious improvement. Since my daughter is in third grade this year, I have been cultivating this habit for her since the summer vacation, and now I am adding it in, hoping that she will stick to it. Nowadays, my daughter is doing very well in reading in the morning and listening in the evening. She still keeps reading even on weekends. I am very pleased. Through this attempt, I deeply realized that persistence is really important! Not only the children must persist, but the parents themselves must persist as well. Repeating this operation every day is really tedious. Each item requires concentration and energy. I almost didn\’t stick to it. Whenever I can\’t hold on, I tell myself in my heart: \”I must hold on. Children can do it, and I must do it even more!\” In this way, I have persisted until now. I try my best to write comments with encouraging words every day, because after all, I have just tried this method. Sometimes I forget or fail to do a certain item due to special reasons. This is very normal. Therefore, in order to improve their enthusiasm, we will change the scoring standard from the original 9 points to 8.5 points. In this way, those with an average score of more than 8.5 points per month and more than 25 days will be the first prize, and those with 22 to 25 days will be the first prize. The second prize is awarded, and those aged 20-22 are awarded the third prize. My son has a lot of homework every day, so it’s great that he can do this. According to this award setting, my daughter won the first prize in September and my son won the second prize. We have certificates and prizes. In fact, it doesn’t matter what the prize is. What’s important is that the children have a sense of accomplishment and motivation to move forward. Now, this training method has been adhered to for two months, and both children have made significant progress. I believe that at the end of three months, these good habits will become a part of their lives because they have tasted the \”sweetness\” of them. Some parents may ask, \”How to make sure that each item of the child has been completed?\” Especially review and preview? \”This depends on your usual understanding of the child and parent-child communication. I feel that parents should work hard to believe in their children. If the children can feel our trust in them, their motivation will be stronger. In addition, parents Encourage your children more, rather than supervise them. Finally, no good method can be suitable for all families, and you need to adjust it according to the situation of your own family. The most important thing about this method is persistence. After two months of personal practice, my children and I Everyone has benefited a lot, and I hope it can be shared with more parents so that more children can benefit.
