Preparing for pregnancy requires blocking gonorrhea, one of the top ten infectious diseases

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by gonococcal infection and is the most common among sexually transmitted diseases. In recent years, it has become one of the major sexually transmitted diseases in my country. It is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse, and most infections are caused by unclean sexual intercourse. However, toilets, bath towels, bathtubs or clothing contaminated by germs can also cause infection.

Gonococcus easily invades the anterior urethra, posterior urethra, prostate, spermatic cord, epididymis in men and the cervix, urethra, endometrium and fallopian tubes in women, causing inflammation in these parts. The main symptoms are frequent urination, urgency, painful urination and difficulty urinating. Women also have symptoms such as increased leucorrhea, accompanied by redness and swelling of the urethral orifice, burning pain and varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. Repeated attacks can cause fallopian tube adhesion, obstruction, fluid accumulation, pelvic inflammatory disease, and secondary infertility. Gonococcal infection during pregnancy is very harmful to mother and baby, and may easily lead to premature rupture of membranes, premature birth and postpartum infection. The fetus is also susceptible to infection during delivery through the birth canal, causing gonococcal conjunctivitis, which can lead to corneal perforation and blindness.

Blocking method:

(1) Normally Pay attention to personal hygiene, use special bath towels and bathtubs, and avoid having dirty sex or using unclean toilets. If one of the couple is sick, they should stop having sex immediately.

(2) Do not wear swimming suits or share towels when swimming. Rinse promptly after swimming. It is best to urinate promptly after bathing to flush the urethra. Swim in a regularly disinfected swimming pool to avoid gonococcal infection. Because some people with gonorrhea also go swimming in public swimming pools. If the water in the swimming pool is not properly disinfected, gonorrhea can also be contracted.

(3) Drinking an appropriate amount of water to increase urine output can flush the urethra and prevent gonococci from gaining a foothold in the urethra.

(4) Once symptoms appear, active treatment should be carried out as much as possible in the acute phase in order to achieve complete cure. At the same time, sexual partners should also be treated.

(5) After gonorrhea is cured, there should be no history of reinfection, all symptoms should disappear, urine should be clear, and gonococci should not be found in two reexaminations 1 to 2 weeks after treatment. Pregnancy must be avoided until the disease is completely cured.
