Smoothly passed the third grade, let me share some experiences of those who have experienced it

Thanks to the preparation she received in the first and second grades, my daughter did not experience a major decline in the third grade. Instead, she was able to spend more time studying on her own. Looking back now, I dare to share the experience of others. Why do some people say that third grade is a watershed? Because the overall difficulty has indeed gone up to a higher level. It’s time to start writing a 300-word essay in Chinese. For students in the first and second grades who have not been trained, it is difficult to write enough words, let alone any language expression. At the same time, the reading articles become longer and comprehension becomes more difficult. Every time my daughter loses points, it is for reading comprehension. Mathematical calculations are more complex, including mixed operations, multiplying two-digit numbers by two-digit numbers, etc. The first- and second-grade students cannot pass the calculations, which directly affects the accuracy of calculations in the third-grade students. At the same time, it also increases geometric knowledge, the perimeter and area of graphics, and makes the examination of application questions more flexible. . In addition to memorizing words in English, the test questions are more diverse, such as changing persons, changing affirmative sentences into questions, changing tenses, and translating between Chinese and English, etc. Although the third grade is not easy, as long as you prepare well in the early stage, you can still get through the transition period smoothly. Chinese: Emphasis on accumulation. Chinese language needs to be accumulated in a wide range of areas, including new words, ancient poems, idioms, etc., all of which are inseparable from extracurricular reading. Only by accumulating enough in the early stage can the third grade have something to say when writing essays. The earlier these accumulations begin, the greater the benefits. My daughter has mastered 1,000+ words before going to school, clearing the way for independent reading. Now my son will enter the first grade in September, and his literacy is gradually progressing. My daughter has been reciting ancient poems every day since she was in first grade. Now she can memorize most of the 75+80 ancient poems that are essential for elementary school. If we encounter idioms that we don’t understand while reading or doing questions, we will also write them down. Chinese language seems to require a lot of accumulation, but on average it doesn’t take much time every day. The key is persistence. English: Learn ahead of time. At first, I didn\’t know that they had English classes in the first grade, so I didn\’t do a good job in English enlightenment. It was very painful to pursue English in the first grade. But English is indeed the subject that improves scores the fastest. We only focus on school words and texts, read them by heart and memorize them, and start studying ahead in the second semester of first grade. Now we have memorized all the words that we need to master in primary school, and we have started to learn new concepts. Learn grammar systematically and continue to expand vocabulary. Whether your family has English classes in the first or second grade, or you only learn English in the third grade, it is recommended that you let your child learn ahead of time and make English a dominant subject for your child as soon as possible so that he can build up his learning confidence. Mathematics: Grasp calculations, review questions and draw pictures. Don\’t underestimate calculations in first and second grade. It is the basis of calculation in third grade. Some children cannot do mixed operations. The fundamental reason is that they are not proficient in addition and subtraction within 20 years. There is no other way to calculate but to practice every day. First master the basics and then move on to advanced training. By not losing points in calculations, my daughter never got below 90 points in math. As for application questions, you need to learn to review the questions and circle key words, such as unit names and quantitative relationships, and you must also be able to draw pictures. At first, children have no idea when doing the questions. I just say you draw a picture first. As soon as the picture is finished, the child will instantly . As long as the children learn step by step, third grade is really not that scary.
