High School Entrance Examination Violation and \”Pinch Enrollment\”, Educational Fairness Cannot Be Trampled Recently, the Guilin Municipal Education Bureau interviewed the heads of two private schools because the two schools had violated regulations in the high school entrance examination enrollment and engaged in so-called \”pinch enrollment\” \”. This incident once again brought the chaos in private schools to the forefront, and also forced us to think about how far we still have to go on the topic of educational equity. Educational fairness is the lifeline of education and cannot be trampled upon in the slightest. For the sake of their own interests, some private schools do not hesitate to violate the regulations of the education department and engage in \”pinch enrollment\”. They either enroll students in advance, sign \”prostitution contracts\” with students, or even impound candidates\’ admission tickets. These behaviors seriously disrupted the order of the high school entrance examination, destroyed the educational ecology, and eroded the foundation of educational fairness. It can be said that what these schools have done has completely deviated from the original intention of education. The purpose of education is to educate people, not to make money; it is to serve the all-round development of students, not to serve one\’s own reputation. Blindly pursuing the enrollment rate and treating students as a tool to increase publicity not only violates the laws of education, but also disrespects the dignity of students. As an educator, I feel very sad every time I see news like this. Education carries the hopes of children and parents, and the future of the country and nation. What we need is a fair, orderly, and progressive educational environment, not an educational arena full of interest disputes and intrigues. Only by adhering to the original intention of education, adhering to educational fairness, and watering every child with love can our education move toward a bright future. Regarding this incident, the Guilin Municipal Education Bureau responded quickly and powerfully. A series of measures including interviews, notifications, rectifications, and penalties reflect the government\’s determination to maintain educational fairness. But I believe that rectifying education chaos cannot be accomplished in one day. In addition to administrative supervision, it requires the joint efforts of the whole society. Schools must adhere to the principle of educating people and treat every student equally; teachers must adhere to professional ethics and be the guides for students\’ growth; parents must believe in their children\’s potential and give their children a relaxed and pleasant growth environment; society must create a system that respects teachers and values education. The good atmosphere provides strong support to education. Only through the joint efforts of many parties, can we truly eliminate the haze in the education field, return education to its true nature, and enable every child to enjoy fair and quality education. It is true that cracking down on “pinch enrollment” is only a small step towards standardizing educational order, and there is still a long way to go to achieve educational fairness. But just as a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, as long as we persevere and persevere, we will surely be able to make the flower of educational equity bloom on the land of our motherland. What do you think of the phenomenon of \”pinch-on admissions\” in private schools? What other initiatives do you think can be done to promote educational equity?
