The secret to achieving your goals is: start quickly and start with a low threshold

Thinking is all questions; doing is all answers. To achieve a goal, it is better to do it once than to think about it thousands of times. But the goals of most ordinary people usually stay in their minds or in their plans and are difficult to start. How to start something quickly? The lower the barrier to entry, the easier it is to get started. Just like the starting mechanism of all games, it lets you start playing first, and then slowly upgrades, making children unable to stop. If a game requires you to memorize the characteristics, skill introductions, and how to choose equipment of all hundreds of heroes from the very beginning, then take an exam after memorizing them. The exam questions are hundreds of pages long… At first, the child wants to play the game. Maybe he could memorize it, but it would be too difficult to start. He wouldn\’t be able to memorize all the hero\’s skills. He might give up after memorizing a few. What do game companies do in real life? No matter what, I will give you two heroes first and let you play. During the playing process, you will slowly become proficient and unlock the hero\’s gameplay, allowing you to easily start, advance in small steps, and have a full sense of control. Some parents say that their home is so messy that they spend a day tidying it up and then it becomes messy in just a few moments. Looking at the messy house, they really have no motivation to clean it up. In line with the principle of starting with a low threshold and moving forward in small steps, don\’t think about tidying up the entire home at once. Start from the front, and the pressure will be much less. For example, when I was washing my hands in the bathroom, I found that the sink was a little messy, so I tidied it up. I went to the study room to read, and found that the desk was a bit messy, so I tidied up the desk… You will find that gradually and unknowingly, you have tidied up your home. The same is true for children when it comes to homework. Faced with reciting two large pages of text, it is very difficult and stressful. Regardless of the entire text, just memorize the first sentence. Eh, easy. Memorize the second sentence again. Eh, it’s not difficult. The lower the starting threshold, the more energy children have to do well. I also posted a video account. If you look at my previous videos, they are really messy. There are all kinds of cows, horses and snakes. I deleted a lot, and I kept deleting, and some of them were moved. Don’t delete them: These are the marks of my growth on the video account! How did I start with a low threshold and make small steps forward on the road of video sharing? I want to share it through videos to let more people know me. There are so many choices as to what content to share, and it’s completely unclear at first. No matter, let’s share it first. So, when a student asked me about a topic, I shared it because I thought it was interesting; when a parent discussed parenting with me and said it was very fruitful, I shared it; when I saw something interesting, I shared it… the more I shared it, the more I shared it. Slowly I found the point I want to share: spiritual growth and family education. At the beginning of the video I posted, in addition to the messy content, the layout was even worse. I first used screen recording to record the process of me speaking on the tablet. I posted a few screen-recorded lecture videos, but I didn’t like them, so I changed them to record them directly with my mobile phone. I didn’t like them too much, so I changed them to face-palming videos, which successfully frightened the audience. I wrote down my views on paper and took photos to share. This was good, and I stuck with it for a while. I also felt that a picture with words alone was not vivid enough, so I paired the text with the picture, and then let the editing software\’s built-in voice read the content out loud, thus forming the current video. The video isn\’t that great now, but it\’s much better than when I started. previous coverI can\’t even read all the messy titles, they are all kinds and colorful. Now the cover style has begun to be unified, and the titles are relatively clean. I can read them all, and I am very satisfied with them. If I had pursued perfection from the beginning and had to master the video account before posting videos, I probably wouldn’t be able to post a single video now. Based on the principle of starting with a low threshold and moving forward in small steps, every little progress I make when editing videos is a joy and a driving force for me to move forward. Whatever you want to do, start from before your eyes, start from before your eyes, start from before your eyes, start from before your eyes… you will go further than you think. Finally: Parenting is just an opportunity, lifelong growth and a fulfilling and happy life are the goals.
