We must teach our children: not taking advantage is education

Once I was riding a high-speed train and I brought some biscuits with me. I was eating them when I noticed a little girl in the aisle staring at the biscuits in my hand with a longing look on her face. Amused by her appearance, I picked up a bag and said, \”Little sister, take it and eat it.\” She had already stretched out her hand to me, but in the end she retracted it, and after a fierce ideological struggle, she said: \”Mom said you can\’t just take other people\’s things. Brother, I don\’t want it anymore.\” A girl at such a young age knows that it\’s wrong to take advantage of others. I think this is education. There is another story you may know: about a father who used three bowls of egg noodles to teach his children the meaning of not taking advantage. One morning for the first time, my father made two bowls of poached egg noodles and served them to the table. One bowl has eggs on top, and one bowl has no eggs on top. The father asked his son which bowl to eat? \”The bowl with the eggs.\” The son pointed at the bowl and said. The father said: \”Let me! Kong Rong can make pears when he was seven years old, and you are ten years old.\” The son said: \”He is him, and I am me, I won\’t let you!\” The father asked tentatively: \”You really won\’t let me?\” \”I won\’t let you go!\” The son replied resolutely and bit into half of the egg with lightning speed, indicating that he had registered a trademark for this bowl of noodles. \”Don\’t regret it?\” The father was very surprised by his son\’s movements and amazing speed, but he couldn\’t help but ask one last time. \”No regrets!\” In order to show his unbreakable determination, the son ate the last remaining portion. The father watched silently as his son finished eating. He took the eggless bowl and began to eat. There are two eggs hidden in the father\’s bowl, and the son can clearly see them. The father pointed to the two eggs in the bowl and warned his son: \”Remember! Those who want to take advantage often fail to take advantage.\” The second time, on a Sunday morning, the father made two more bowls of poached egg noodles. The scene reappeared, a bowl with eggs lying on top, and a bowl with no eggs on top. The father asked nonchalantly: \”Which bowl should I eat?\” \”I\’m ten years old, let me give you the egg!\” The son said and took the bowl without the egg. \”Don\’t regret it?\” Father asked. \”No regrets!\” The son replied firmly. My son ate very quickly and didn\’t even see the egg. The father took the remaining egg noodles and when he ate them, his son saw an egg on top, and to his surprise, there was another egg underneath. My father pointed at the egg and said, remember: \”Those who want to take advantage may suffer big losses!\” A few months passed after the third time, but the props were still the same as before. The father asked: \”Which bowl should I eat?\” \”Kong Rong gave me the pears, and my son gave me the noodles. Dad is the elder, you eat first!\” \”Then I\’m not polite.\” The father picked up the noodles with eggs without any courtesy. The son calmly picked up the eggless noodles, and the bowl of noodles quickly reached the bottom. The son accidentally discovered that there was an egg hidden in his bowl. The father meaningfully said to his son: \”If you don\’t want to take advantage, life will not let you suffer.\” This story tells us that what seems to be \”suffering\” is actually to help children convey the principles of \”education\” and \”cultivation\”. And these two kinds of people will not mix well in society. In fact, over the years, I have developed a habit: I will not take advantage casually. If I have to take it, I will at least say thank you. \”Education\” and \”cultivation\” are indispensable and important courses in a child\’s life, and every parent should set an example. Only by cultivating children with such character and quality can children go higher and further!
