Semen examination is sometimes affected by some factors, such as:
①The abstinence time is too short or too long;
②Recent physical fatigue Status;
③Recently drinking and smoking a lot;
④Recently having fever;
⑤During semen collection, part of the semen was leaked;
⑥The environment during semen collection was poor;
⑦After semen collection, the semen was not sent for inspection in time, etc.
Some of the above factors may make the inspection results inaccurate. Therefore, if the first test result is abnormal, it cannot be considered that there is definitely something wrong. Generally, reexamination should be carried out 2 to 3 times at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks. Only after multiple inspections of semen abnormalities can it have clinical significance.
Based on the results of the semen test, the doctor will determine whether the person being examined has infertility. According to semen test results, infertility can be divided into:
① Oligospermia. Sperm density is less than 20 million/ml;
②Azoospermia. After the semen was centrifuged and precipitated, no sperm was found after three inspections;
③ Low sperm motility;
④ Necrozoospermia. Most or all of the sperm in the semen are dead sperm;
⑤ Semen non-liquefaction syndrome.
Then, based on other examinations of infertile patients, including physical examinations, blood tests, etc., we will learn whether there are exact causes of infertility, such as endocrine diseases, reproductive tract infections, antibiotics, etc. Positive sperm antibodies, varicocele and sexual dysfunction, etc., in order to take corresponding treatment measures to improve semen quality and restore fertility.
