Green food is a type of food stipulated by green food standards. Green food requires that it be pollution-free and safe from the origin of raw materials, production and processing links, packaging, storage and transportation, and must be strictly implemented and certified in accordance with the green food standard system. Our country has developed green foods in grains, fruits and vegetables, edible oils, aquatic products, dairy products, etc.
Green food is divided into Grade A and Grade AA. A limited amount of chemically synthesized production materials are allowed in the production process of Grade A food, and biological technology and physical methods can be actively used; chemically synthesized pesticides, fertilizers, food additives, feed additives, veterinary drugs and harmful substances are not used in the production process of Grade AA food. It uses organic fertilizers, planting green manure, crop rotation, biological or physical methods and other technologies to fertilize the soil, control diseases, pests and weeds, and protect or improve product quality. AA grade food, also known as organic food, is popular among consumers because of its high safety, good quality, good for human health and environmental protection. AA grade green food accounts for about 10% of existing green foods.
Organic food, green food and pollution-free food. Organic food has the highest level of requirements among the three. Organic food is different from the other two types of food in that it is absolutely prohibited to use pesticides, chemical fertilizers, hormones and other chemical synthetic substances during the processing process, and the use of genetic engineering technology is not allowed; and it requires that the land needs to be 2~2 years old to produce organic food from other foods. There is a 3-year conversion period; its certification is completed by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture and its recognized institutions, in line with international standards; while green food is certified by the National Green Food Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and pollution-free food is macro-managed by the Ministry of Agriculture , provincial agricultural administrative departments carry out origin and product quality certification.
